Espionage and Cyber Security Challenges and Solutions

The biggest espionage challenge facing the western world is Chinese cultural, financial, economic and political influence and espionage. The solution is obvious; to protect our economies from Chinese (and other foreign) investment and influence via regulation and taxation. This has been implemented to some extent by President Trump in the United States of America.

Another main problem with espionage is keeping secrets in the information age. Analogue copies and backups are crucial; the use of physical files and floppy disks. Disinformation campaigns can also be solved via internet regulation. AI is a major problem in the intelligence community, particularly AI hacking. The solution for AI Cyber Security is to write an AI algorithm that basically reverses whatever the offensive AI is attempting; a mirror AI. Advanced encryption is also essential; machine learning encryption would enable the encryption to keep pace with hackers organically without much human input. Keeping sensitive data in analogue format is another means of protection against hackers.

If intelligence agencies ceased to weaken commercial encryption to provide back-doors for investigations and surveillance, that would also be a major boost to cyber security.
