Human immunodeficiency virus targets CD4 T cells, a type of white blood cell. CD8 Killer T cells can destroy HIV, but the virus typically evades these T cells by hiding in host cells. However, if DNA nanobots were programmed to adapt killer T cells to HIV's evasions, the virus could be completely eradicated. Another option is to 3D print the killer T cells for injection and simply overwhelm the virus.
